Tuesday Twilight Winter Networking
Tuesday 5 August | 6pm
The Tuesday Twilight Division is hosting the third and final networking event of Winter in the Careening Cove Anchorage on Tuesday 5 August. These will take place before Trivia - so for those who wish to do both, you can!
Come along for drinks and mingling and get to know your fellow sailors. Please book for the Networking here then when prompted indicate whether you would like to stay on for dinner also.
In the words of Divisional Rep, Kirstin Reblin "The goal of these gatherings is to stay in touch over the winter months, extend our friendships, learn from each other, and help sort out crew arrangements early."
Upcoming Guest: Annie Wilmot – Australia’s Rising Star in Olympic Sailing
We’re pleased to welcome Annie Wilmot as our next guest — a standout member of the Australian Sailing Team, currently campaigning in the 49erFX class with her sailing partner Laura Harding. The duo recently achieved an impressive 5th place at the 2024 49erFX World Championships in Lanzarote, confirming their place among the world’s top teams.
Annie first caught international attention as the 2016 Youth World Champion in the 29er class, and her talent has been widely recognised with awards including Australian Female Sailor of the Year (2017) and NSW Female Sailor of the Year in both 2017 and 2019.
We’re also looking forward to hearing from Karyn Gojnich, our Vice Commodore, three-time Olympian and strong advocate for women in sailing. Karyn will provide insights into the inaugural New York Yacht Club International Women’s Championship — a significant step forward for female representation in the sport.
Join us for an engaging and inspiring session with two women making a real impact in sailing.
